A new general value added tax will be introduced from 1 September 2024 – see how it affects the price of your contract

On June 28th, Parliament decided on increasing the general value added tax. From the beginning of September, the general value added tax (VAT) will be 25.5%. That will also affect the price of our products and services.

The new VAT will apply to all our contracts and services. See all our prices.

Consumer prices include VAT 24% until 31 August 2024. This means that the tax will, based on government authority decision, be increased by 1.5 percentage points. The change affects the price of your contract.

The right of termination applies to the following Vaasan Sähkö agreements under the mentioned conditions:

Electricity contracts

According to the general Terms of electricity sales TESa 2014 consumers have the right to terminate an indefinite contract for 30 days after becoming aware of the change. Notice period: 2 weeks.

The right of termination applies to the following electricity contracts:

– Basic Electricity
– Wind Power
– Influencer
– Exchange Electricity
– Exchange Electricity Wind
– contracts that are subject to a delivery obligation.

The price changes due to a government decision, and the right of termination does not apply to fixed-term electricity contracts.

Climate Electricity agreements cannot be terminated based on the change.

District heating contracts

According to the general Terms and conditions for district heating, the customer has the right to terminate the contract for 30 days after being informed of the change. Notice period: 1 month.

The right of termination applies to the following agreements:

– District heating Lähilämpö
– District heating Lähilämpö with Climate Guarantee.
