This is how it works
1. Monitor the price development
Use the price lock service to see what kind of price locks you can make for upcoming time periods. The lock prices are constantly changing, so you should actively monitor the price development.
2. Make a price lock for a suitable time period
When the price feels right, you can make a price lock with a few clicks.
You can lock one month or quarter at a time, up to three months or four quarters. The quarters available for price locks are:
- January–March
- April–June
- July–September
- October–December.
You can make a price lock at the earliest four months or at the latest 36 hours in advance.
3. The price is now locked
The price lock is now confirmed and the locked price will take effect at the start of the price lock period.
Your contract immediately becomes fixed-term when you have confirmed the price lock period. The validity of the fixed term lasts until the end of the last price lock period. You cannot cancel the price lock.
4. Save even more by timing your consumption
Consumption impact allows you to reduce your electricity bill by timing your consumption to the moments when spot-price electricity is cheapest. However, you should bear in mind that consumption impact works both ways, so it can also increase your bill if your consumption occurs when spot prices are high. You will see the outcome at the end of the month.
When should I make a price lock?
- Well in advance in the autumn, because the prices usually go up in the winter.

- When the price level feels right for you.
Please note
- The price lock becomes binding when you have confirmed it.
- Your contract immediately becomes fixed-term until the end of the last price lock period.
- After this, your contract continues again as open-ended.
- No extra fees are applied.
