At Vaasan Sähkö, we want to support the well-being of children and young people by providing sponsorship for sports and physical activities within the Vaasan Sähköverkko network area.

Sports and physical activity are close to our pink hearts. Would you, your club, or your team like to become part of Team Vaasan Sähkö? Sponsorship grants can be applied for from Vaasan Sähkö during two application periods each year, one in the spring and one in the autumn.
Autumn application period: 17 August – 6 September 2026
- Sponsorship is primarily granted for sports and physical activities for young people under the age of 18.
- In youth adult and adult sports, we support teams that compete at the highest level or are striving to reach it.
- Supported teams and clubs may vary from year to year.
Partnership models
Putt 300 €
- Primary school-age children’s and youth sports teams, fewer than 30 participants
Slap shot 500 €
- Lower secondary school and upper secondary school teams, as well as children’s teams with more than 30 participants
Touchdown 1 000 – 2 000 €
- Sports clubs, individual athletes, and professional-level teams

- Event visibility: An event named after Vaasan Sähkö.
- Logo visibility: The Vaasan Sähkö logo displayed on competition uniforms, warm-up gear, club apparel, or advertising materials at competition venues.
- Digital visibility: A link to the Vaasan Sähkö website on your website and social media posts using the hashtag #TeamVaasanSahko.
Other forms of cooperation we are happy to support include: children’s obstacle courses, skills days, sports try-out events, ice discos, expert lectures, and various community events and activities.

What types of sponsorship requests can receive support?
In addition to teams, clubs, and individual athletes, we support initiatives that offer long-term visibility at event venues, as well as various public events. We do not sponsor political or religious organizations.
Can sponsorship support be granted to clubs or teams outside the Vaasa region?
Unfortunately no, since our sponsorship activities are focused on the Vaasan Sähköverkko network area.
Why didn’t we receive sponsorship even though we are customers of Vaasan Sähkö?
The goal of our sponsorship program is to support a wide range of sports clubs, teams, and disciplines in the Vaasa region. Sponsorship decisions are always made on a case-by-case basis, and we strive to select sponsorship recipients as broadly as possible. Being a customer of Vaasan Sähkö does not affect sponsorship decisions.
I am an individual athlete. Can Vaasan Sähkö sponsor me?
Most often, sports sponsorship for us means supporting a team or a club, and we especially want to encourage physical activity among children and young people.
Occasionally, we also sponsor individual athletes, but we carefully evaluate each case. It is important to us that the athlete can serve as a positive role model, especially for children and young people. We also value an outgoing personality and an active presence on social media. In addition, the athlete should compete at a sufficiently high level so that the partnership provides the visibility we are seeking.

My child participates in karting. Can we receive sponsorship support?
As an energy company, Vaasan Sähkö wants to promote e-mobility. If your child’s kart is powered by electricity, you should definitely submit an application!
Our class is organizing an anniversary celebration. Can Vaasan Sähkö support us financially?
We primarily support sports and physical activities for children and young people, as well as various cultural events. Sponsorship of anniversary celebrations is currently not part of our sponsorship program.
Our club publishes a calendar. Can Vaasan Sähkö participate by providing its logo?
We want to provide long-term support for activities that generate positive energy. Since we evaluate each sponsorship opportunity individually, we would be pleased to hear what kind of visibility you can offer in return.
We are not usually involved in printed publications, as we are generally more interested in visibility through training or competition apparel, or through field-side advertising at sports venues. Therefore, it is a good idea to include several alternative visibility options in your application.
Why does the application ask about gender?
It is important to us to distribute our support fairly and equally. By asking for the gender of the applicant or supported group, we can more easily ensure that our sponsorship is allocated evenly across different genders.
Why is the sponsorship amount for primary school children lower than for lower secondary school children?
The sponsorship packages are structured based on the fact that travel distances for competitions typically increase as children get older, and the overall costs of participation are generally higher for lower secondary school students than for primary school students.
Does Vaasan Sähkö pay for logo printing on team apparel?
Yes! In addition to the sponsorship amount, we always cover the printing costs of our logo.
Printing companies (such as Tai-Tex, Grano, or Roach) can invoice us directly for the printing, provided that the team’s name is clearly indicated as a reference on the invoice.

What payment term do you prefer on invoices?
We kindly request that invoices sent to us have a payment term of 21 days. This helps us ensure that invoices can be processed and approved in our systems on time.
