Vaasan Sähkö will draw three winners for three (3) months of electricity at a price of €0. The prize includes up to 1,500 kWh of energy per month and the basic fee.

The draw is open from 30 March to 12 April 2026. The draw will take place during April.

Anyone living in mainland Finland can participate. The prize-related contract can be signed unless your current contract is a fixed-term contract whose contract period hinders you from taking advantage of three months of the prize within 2026.

The prize can be used for any Vaasan Sähkö contract for three consecutive months by the end of 2026. We will send detailed instructions on claiming the prize to the winners in person, but in practice, this is how it works: 

1. The winner of the draw will choose their preferred Vaasan Sähkö product and make an electricity contract. The contract can be any from our selection and can be signed anywhere in Finland! If the winner already has a contract with Vaasan Sähkö, they do not need a new contract. 
    

2. The winner chooses the three consecutive months for which they want free electricity. The months must be used during 2026 and cannot be split between different parts of the year. 
    

Then, simply enjoy the superb electricity! Once the months have been spent, the selected electricity contract continues according to the terms and conditions of that product. You can terminate an open-ended contract yourself, or if you conclude a contract with another electricity seller, they will handle the termination for you. The notice period for open-ended contracts is 2 weeks. A fixed-term contract continues until the end of the agreed contract period.

The prize must be used by the end of 2026. The winner can choose the timing of their choice. The prize months cannot be split up, but must be used over three consecutive months.

The electricity transmission fee is not included in the prize. The electricity transmission fee is charged by the local distribution company according to its normal price list based on the energy consumption.

No. Anyone living in Finland can take part. Anyone living in mainland Finland can participate. The prize-related contract can be signed unless your current contract is a fixed-term contract whose contract period hinders you from taking advantage of three months of the prize within 2026.

No! The winner of the prize draw can use the prize for any Vaasan Sähkö contract – either an indefinite-term or fixed-term contract. If you do not wish to continue as our customer, you can terminate your indefinite-term contract immediately after the end of the prize months. 
 

The notice period for indefinite-term contracts is 2 weeks. If the selected contract is a fixed-term contract, fixed-term contracts are valid for 6, 12 or 24 months from the date of conclusion, depending on the contract. You can terminate the contract yourself, or you can conclude a contract with another electricity seller, in which case they will do it for you.

The prize can be redeemed for any Vaasan Sähkö electricity contract. After the prize months, the selected electricity contract will continue as an indefinite-term contract unless terminated. The notice period for indefinite-term contracts is 2 weeks. 
 
If the selected contract is a fixed-term contract, fixed-term contracts are valid for 6, 12 or 24 months from the date of conclusion, depending on the contract. You can terminate the contract yourself, or you can conclude a contract with another electricity seller, in which case they will do it for you. 
 
Example 1: The winner chooses the Basic Electricity contract. 
After the 3 prize months, the contract continues as an indefinite-term contract. The price is determined by the current energy price and the basic fee. If you do not wish to extend the contract, it has a two-week notice period and can be terminated at the end of the prize months. 
 
Example 2: The winner chooses the Fixed 12 months electricity contract. 
After the 3 prize months, the contract continues as a fixed-term contract until the end of the contract period (12 months from the date concluding the original contract). The price is determined on the basis of the energy price and the basic charge in force at the time of concluding the contract. The contract cannot be terminated during the contract period. 

The prize includes a maximum of 4,500 kWh of electricity and the basic charges. The total value of the prize depends on which contract chosen by the winner and how much energy is actually consumed over the 3-month period. 
 
Example: A Basic Electricity contract from January to March 2026 and an electricity consumption of 1,500 kWh every month. The total value is about €580 (incl. electricity price + basic charge, not including electricity transmission fee) 

A kilowatt-hour (kWh) is a measure of electrical energy that indicates the amount of electricity consumed. The amount of consumption depends, among other things, on the type of home, the size of the home, the number of electrical appliances used, and the type of heating. 
 
The prize includes a maximum of 1,500 kWh of electricity per month per winner, for a total of up to 4,500 kilowatt hours over three months. 1,500 kWh is enough to cover a month’s electricity consumption in most apartments, terraced houses, semi-detached houses and many detached houses. The excess energy will be charged to the winner at the energy price of the electricity contract of their choice.

No!  You can get a Vaasan Sähkö contract anywhere in Finland. 
 
It is therefore enough that the place of use for which the winner concludes a contract is located in Mainland Finland. The prize cannot be redeemed to a foreign destination, will not be credited or converted into cash, and cannot be transferred to another person. 

No. The electricity distribution fee is determined by the amount of energy you use, based on the price list of your local distribution company. The price is not affected by how far away the electricity is produced.

If you move during your contract, we can make a new electricity contract for your new address and transfer your remaining prize months there. If you want, you can also terminate your contract when moving house, regardless of it being fixed-term – in this case, your prize months will also expire and cannot be used later. Unused months will not be credited.

All of Vaasan Sähkö’s electricity products are produced in a carbon dioxide-free manner, either with nuclear power or with renewable energy sources. Their origin is verified by guarantees of origin.

The prize draw is open from 30 March to 12 April 2026. 

2. The draw is organized by Vaasan Sähkö Myynti Oy (3484498-1), hereinafter referred to as ‘the Organizer’. You can enter the draw by submitting your contact details at vaasansahko.fi/arvonta. By submitting your contact details, you confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy (section 11). 

3. Anyone living in Finland can take part in the draw. 

4. The prize of the draw is electricity for three (3) months at a price of €0. The prize includes energy up to 1,500 kWh/month, i.e. a maximum of 4,500 kWh in total over the prize months. Any energy consumption exceeding 1,500 kWh per month will be charged according to the electricity contract chosen by the winner. The prize does not include the electricity distribution fee. 

5. Any energy not used during the month will not be credited or converted into cash and cannot be carried over to subsequent months. 

6. The 3 free months can be used during 2026 for any Vaasan Sähkö electricity contract. The months must be used in consecutive months and cannot be split up or carried over to 2027. 

7. Winning the draw does not obligate the winner to a contract period or purchase, but redeeming the prize months requires an electricity contract with Vaasan Sähkö for their duration. The product can be chosen freely. An indefinite-term product can be terminated with 2 weeks’ notice at the end of the prize months. You can terminate the contract yourself, or you can conclude a contract with another electricity seller, in which case they will do it for you. If the selected contract is a fixed-term contract, fixed-term contracts are valid for 6, 12 or 24 months from the date of conclusion, depending on the contract. 

8. The draw will take place during April 2026 and the (3) winners will be contacted in person, either by e-mail or by phone. The Organizer reserves the right to redistribute the prize if the finalist or winner cannot be reached within 24 hours or in the event of misuse or inappropriate behavior. The Organizer reserves the right to publish the names of the finalists and the winner on its website and social media channels. 

9. The Organizer is liable for the costs of the prize and any lottery tax. The Organizer is not liable for any impediment to the receipt of the prize or for any costs incurred in accepting and receiving the prize. The prize will not be credited or converted into cash. The prize is personal and non-transferable. 

10. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the rules.
