New entrepreneur – what you need to know about electricity matters
As a new entrepreneur, many things are new, and some may feel unclear or challenging. Fortunately, electricity contract matters don’t have to be one of them! On this page, we’ve gathered all the essential information you need to know about electricity contracts as an entrepreneur.
Where to start?
First, it’s a good idea to estimate how much electricity your business will use.
- Businesses using less than 100 MWh per year can easily sign an electricity contract online. Electricity consumption is usually under 100 MWh per year in, for example, office spaces and retail shops.
- If your electricity use exceeds 100 MWh per year, you can request a quote from our business sales team. Factories and other large facilities typically consume more than 100 MWh per year.

How do I know which electricity contract is best for my business?
It depends on what matters most to you! We offer several different contracts, so you can choose the one that best suits your business.
Fixed price brings stability
If you value being able to predict the size of your electricity bill and keep it stable throughout the year, our fixed-term contract is a good choice. The price is fixed for the entire contract period, so you always pay the same amount per kilowatt-hour used. The contract is valid for a fixed term and cannot be changed during that time.
Carefree Basic Electricity is a safe choice
If you want more flexibility to make changes to your contract, you can choose our open-ended Basic Electricity or renewable Wind Electricity contracts. For these contracts, the price is updated four times a year, and you can change your contract at any time.
Opportunities to save with spot electricity
If you can influence when you use electricity or mainly use it during the cheapest spot price times, our Exchange Electricity or Influencer contract may be the right choice for you. For the Exchange Electricity contract, the price of electricity is determined at 15-minute intervals. By timing your electricity use, you can save on your electricity bill.
For the Influencer contract, the price consists of an energy charge and a customer-specific own impact component. You can choose either a fixed-term or an open-ended contract. The own impact component enables a lower energy charge: if you use most of your electricity when spot prices are low, the own impact lowers your price and results in savings on your bill.
100% renewable energy
The origin of all our electricity contracts is verified with guarantees of origin. We also offer Wind Power and Exchange Electricity Wind Power, both of which are produced with 100% renewable energy.
